Ready to Progress interventions highly commended by Teach Primary

Are you looking for a maths intervention programme that can deliver quality output by adults of all skills and confidence levels?

Ready to Progress interventions enables teaching assistants and other non-teaching staff to deliver high-quality intervention sessions in 1:1 and small group settings, with minimal preparation time.

We're delighted that our Ready to Progress interventions programme has been highly commended in Teach Primary Awards 2022!

Matched to Department for Education’s Ready to Progress criteria and Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) best practice principles, content includes:

  • Over 140 intervention videos
  • Activity banks for every intervention
  • Ready to Progress criteria mapping tools
  • Diagnostic placement quizzes

The resources were recognised by Teach Primary as outstanding in the SEN category.

“There aren’t many interventions available for supporting additional needs in maths and so this is very welcome. There is a comprehensive range of supporting resources as well as CPD recordings.”

- Teach Primary Awards judge: Michael Surr, nasen

Available for only £540, you can have maximum impact across Key Stage 1 and 2 without significant additional expenditure with resources covering a full academic year.

Each pupil-facing video is around 5 or 6 minutes in length and is intended to be watched by the adult and pupil together, modelling the use of representations and language. Pause points are provided for discussion and exploration.

The accompanying activities are supplied as editable slide decks with easy-to-use guidance for the adult leading the session, including:

  • questions to ask - specific to each activity, with desired answers
  • things to look out for - such as common misconceptions for this area and how to address these
  • ideas for depth - including discussion-based and practical activities
The activities offer flexibility to fit your school's intervention slots (whether they're 15-minutes or 45-minutes) and to fit the needs of each pupil. Confident pupils may spend fewer sessions on a particular area, whereas others may need multiple sessions to understand and embed key learning.

A diagnostic placement quiz informs the intervention programme route.
