Presenter: Helen Drury, Director of Curriculum Programmes, Ark Curriculum Plus

Dr Helen Drury is an experienced teacher and government advisor on curriculum and assessment. She is determined that every teacher should be supported and enabled to give every young person, regardless of their background, the subject knowledge and skills that will allow them to succeed. She has taught and been a senior leader in rural and city schools for over a decade and holds a PhD in mathematics education.

Helen founded the first Ark Curriculum Plus programme, Mathematics Mastery – empowering teachers through curriculum and professional development in more than 500 schools nationwide. She has written several books on teaching and the principles of mastery and is a member of the Royal Society’s Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education.
