Dr Helen Drury, founder of Mathematics Mastery at AC+, joins Maths Week England's advisory council

Dr Helen Drury, founder of Mathematics Mastery at Ark Curriculum Plus, has been invited to join the Maths Week England advisory council to share her valuable insight and expertise. Helen has over a decade of classroom experience and is dedicated to bringing research into the classroom to break the UK's cycle of underachievement.

Maths Week England is the world's largest annual national celebration of mathematics. They celebrate mathematics through schools, colleges, universities and other interested groups who would like to join. They aim to raise the mathematics profile in England and increase participation and enjoyment.

Helen said, "I am passionate about the importance of increasing participation and enjoyment in maths. Andrew did an incredibly positive thing in founding Maths Week England, and I'm delighted to be part of the advisory council".

Helen, as part of Maths Week England's advisory council, will support the organisation in achieving its aims, make recommendations regarding the direction and future development, share expertise with the executive committee and help ensure they continue to act in accordance with the aims.

Helen now heads up the curriculum design team across all Ark Curriculum Plus programmes.

"I am absolutely delighted that Helen is joining the Maths Week England (MWE) advisory council. She has so much wisdom, humility and understanding of the world of maths education and continues to be an integral part of the continuing growth and success of MWE." Andrew Jeffrey from Maths Week England told us.
